Killin to St Andrews

A developing long distance walking in Perthshire and Fife, first following for much of the way Strathearn and the River Earn then picking up on the northern part of the Fife Coastal Path.

The Three Saints Way is a route that is in development and can already be walked in part. It will, when complete, connect Killin to St Andrews and pass by Lochearnhead, St Fillans, Comrie, Crieff, Dunning, Abernethy, Tayport and Leuchars.

This is seen as forming a part of a longer coast to coast route that links Iona with St Andrews, two great centres of Christianity and Pilgrimage over many centuries.

Such a long distance walking route has many supporters but also has significant challenges in moving from a supported concept into a reality over its complete length. With this in mind it was recognised that the Three Saints Way is likely to become a complete walking route in a shorter timescale and it has a beauty and historical story worth telling on its own merits. The intention therefore is to create the Three Saints Way for walkers to enjoying while the longer coast to coast route is completed in later sections as finance, routes and land issues are overcome.

The Three Saints Way steering group having been formed and much of the walking route is already defined and parts open to walkers.

It has been agreed to now develop this website over the coming months. It will increasingly become a comprehensive resource that will be both an awareness raising and marketing resource as well as ultimately becoming an invaluable source of information to those about to embark on a walk along the Way.

Do bookmark this site and return to see how route development is progressing. The site will be continually subject to updating and additional material being added.
